What was Measure 66 & 67 About Again?

I recently went to a meeting to get started on a new kind of schooling. AllPrep Early College will pay for your schooling and books of up to about $1400 for school fees and books. What this means is that any student in Oregon could go to a community college and get some college done and paid for and they could also finish high school. Washington and California also do this, in Washington it is known as 'Running Start.' I went to apply as a new student at AllPrep Charter school just yesterday, when the meeting started we were sadly told by one of the councilors at Early College that AllPrep has no money to pay for new students to go to school, and no money to pay for students who are attending colleges around Oregon. I was told that this is because an inquiry was brought to ODE, or Oregon Department of Education, by Sisters School District saying that this charter school is not working and is ruining public education. Money from the state government level was frozen for the duration of the assessment of the accusations brought from this school district and a parent. Charter schools are public schools just like any other public school in Oregon. The difference is that a charter school specializes in certain areas, like AllPrep Early College specializes in 'Early College' as the name states. This charter school is for kids pursuing an education and wanting to excel and proceed in life faster than other students. Legally you can do this because you are a student and are still of the age to go to public school but the government has frozen money for this school because of 'accusations.' The sad part is that 2,000 students already attending AllPrep and students wanting to be accepted into it will not be able to for Spring term because there is no money.
What I cannot fathom is that measure 66 & 67 was voted on and put into action because education needed more money, and they are getting their tax money, but why can't a charter school be paid for students to attend 'public school?' Another thing that bothers me is that men and women at PCC who have graduated are easily able to get money to help pay for school even though they have gone through public education and have gotten what everyone else has gotten. Thinking about that, why can't students like me and many like me get the education everyone else has gotten and that we rightfully deserve?

The Idea of no Opinion

In talking to a friend earlier this day about some of my favorite political talk show hosts and political figures, it became clear to me how so many teens do not think much of politics. Many of the now 16, 17, and 18 year old teens that will vote in the next Presidential election for the first time don't think politics is that important until later in life or just go with the flow of thinking one way, which at this time leans towards the left as in liberal democrats. My guess is that many of the next voters coming of age for the next Presidential election cannot at this time name four founding fathers and what they may have believed in to become someone to stand against Britain and risk everything they had.

I say risk everything they had because all of the founding fathers had a standing in their respective community's. George Washington owned almost 30,000 acres of land by the time he was elected general of the thirteen colonies, if nothing else President Washington had his family to lose, which mattered oh so dearly to him as family does to everyone. I can say that many of the next 'electoral teens' as I would call them did not know that all of the founding fathers were God fearing men, besides Thomas Payne. And them being God fearing men they took divine direction and prayed for God's direction for where to take this country. I will also say that many of the new electoral teens would not know that none of the founding fathers actually wanted power. George Washington was almost made king but refused and gave the power back to the people.

Many politicians running for office these days just want power to make what they want happen or are showed what they get for a reward for making something happen even though that is not what our country is founded on or is even supposed to consider. If you want that go to another country that isn't a Republic, like Iran for example. Supposed rigged elections and people being thrust into power is not what our country is about and many teens don't know that. Many would say that the popular man wins, which in a sense is true, but in the end it is that man or woman who is right and that comes back to the fundamentals of our country who really wins. If not for that then we must hope for the best and plan for the worst. 'Few men have virtue to withstand the highest bidder.'

Let's just Throw the Constitution Away

On Fox News' website there was an article in the politics section called Obama's Push for Copenhagen Deal Could Violate Constitution, Critics Say. It's about how President Obama may sign an agreement at the Copenhagen Climate Summit without the consent or officialism of the U.S. Congress. Many critics are against this because it would mean that Obama would be able to sign something that the U.S. would have to follow but didn't actually get a chance to vote for through their state representatives in Congress.
Obama, who is even told by democrats with similar views not to do this, might go through the EPA and not Congress to sign a treaty to bind the U.S. to a cap of CO² emissions. But, as the Republican House Speaker states, "President Obama cannot bind the American people to job killing international agreements on climate change without the advice and consent of the United States Senate..." He says this because the U.S. has checks and balances in our Republican system of government that makes it so that one branch of the government, such as the Exacutive Branch, cannot just go off signing a bill. Which would make it law, but they cannot because he needs the consent of the people, which is given through state representatives in Congress.
Our Executive Branch going through something else besides Congress to sign something is a complete and utter violation of my rights, and more importantly our rights. The Constitution was created by some very amazing people, some very Godly people. God would not have let it be created and followed so closely by believers in him if He didn't believe in its truth. Don't get me wrong, the Bible is the truth but I believe that the Constitution was sent forth by The most high one, through people that God chose and to break it and cut corners is wrong, and against you as an American and a human.
To explain this article to someone would be me saying to you that the President of the United States is breaking the country's founding backbone, the Constitution and Declaration of Independence, just to sign something that has been proven to be wrong and falsified over and over again.
"I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
The best of our President's ability would be to not sign that treaty.

Stay tuned for my next post coming about the fall through in Copenhagen...

Let's discuss global warming while drowning the polar bears even further.

On Fox News' website there was a story about the ever so present Copenhagen Climate Summit in Copenhagen, Denmark. The story goes on to talk about how thousands of world leaders and VIPs have flooded to Copenhagen to "learn" about climate change and be presented on the world stage. The story also reveals that the people who have gone to the summit are actually hurting the environment more than they are helping it.
It took 140 private jets and 1,200 hired limousines to get the 30,000 or so environmentalist activists to Copenhagen. All of these hired vehicles and private jets equate to a small country like Switzerland's emissions of CO² in 2003. It reads that these people state that they went to this summit to learn how to further stop the emissions of CO² from their countries and their followers. They haven't helped stop CO² emissions by doing what they have done. Instead they have helped CO² become even more abundant in the atmosphere because they have, in-turn, done what they say should not be done, which is fly privately somewhere, and drive vehicles that are high CO² polluting vehicles. The story goes on to say that at Copenhagen they have tried to offset their carbon footprints by using energy efficient light-bulbs, powering them with a giant wind turbine, and offering guests recycled materials instead of wasteful water bottles.
Al Gore has been quoted to have said that even if you recycled everything you use and started using energy efficient bulbs that you still would not offset your carbon footprint if you are driving a gas guzzling vehicle. So them recycling everything that they use in Copenhagen would not even come near to them offsetting their carbon footprints that they have done in just one day of flying and driving around in private vehicles.
Explaining this article to you is easy. It is about a bunch of people who think that human life on earth is going to come to an abrupt end because there is too much CO² in the air. But, the reality is that all of these people have hypocritically down everything and anything they could to pollute the earth even more. I could also explain that there is this thing called the internet that has different things like Blogspot.com and Skype™ that anyone can use to talk to anyone in the world immediately. If these people really did care about what they are preaching then they would not waste an estimated amount of $215 million in total and they would maybe have put out a hundred tons of CO² emissions instead of 41,000 tons.
